Review About My Favouite Author
ReplyDeleteMy favourite author is J.K.Rowling. I like her because she makes friends quickly and she is very courageous. She never gives up in her life. She has also written the award winning series of Harry Potter. She is very kind and she is always follows her dreams.
Quote on Reading
"Read, read, read until you have feed your brain enough."
Poem in Loneliness
ReplyDeleteWe are stuck in a world of fears,
No one dares to come out of mears.
Playgrounds lie still,
For no one comes fill,
Lonely as one would lie forever,
Not to defeat our misfortune ever.
Schools lie empty, no teachers and no traffics.
Here we lie in a wold of stillness,
Here comes the end of millness
Angie Thomas
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Author is Angie Thomas. She writes about Daily Life problems through books. She conveys the message that “All Life’s Matter” Not only White or the Rich but even Black and the Needy. She has written 2 books that are “The Hate You Give” and “On the Come Up”. She is my favorite author because it is hard to find books that talks about discrimination and equal rights, as discrimination and she uses her talent of writing for a good cause. Her second book also talks about determination and achieving your dreams, keep working hard. I recommend all of you to read her books as her books are like a roller coaster of realization and truth.
Poem on Books
ReplyDeleteTitle- Books, the source of knowledge
Books, those papers you stack together,
May stay in your mind forever
Just read them with some awe and glee
So you can enjoy the book happily.
William Shakespeare, Leo Tolstoy and other authors
Their work is brilliant and don't bother
Those critics who wait to diminish
The greatness of their work.
Leave the tech-savvy crowd
and come to the bookworms
Your head will sigh with relief
That there's no blue-light, hurting your eyes.
Books are the source of most of the knowledge
You will enjoy reading them, and slowly
some of the knowledge in the book
Will reach you soon.
The book is the account of many events
Oh! That's ancient, I forgot!
The book is the source of knowledge, inspiration and fun
Yes! Books are loved by everyone.
Toddlers who hold a book in their frail hands,
Will maybe become the greatest leaders of tomorrow.
A book can transform one's life,
Isn't it true that the readers today, will become leaders tomorrow?
Enter the world of books,
An interesting place
where you'll surely
become smarter day-by-day!

DeleteThat Time
ReplyDeleteI used to be happy once upon a time
A time when being happy wasn’t a crime
A time when being asleep was as divine
As a golden cup of wine.
I used to check upon my health once upon a time
A time when health was as important as a king's wealth
A time when stealth
Wasn’t a part of myself.
I used to not be nervous once upon a time
A time when nervousness was just a quality
A time when that quality wasn’t for a person filled with jollity
A person that used to be me preliminarily.
I used to be me once upon a time
A time when being me was enough
A time when reaching expectations weren’t tough
That time when I hadn’t given up.

ENVIRONMENT
ReplyDeleteDAY
Conversation
This is a conversation between me and the environment, yes you heard me correctly, the ENVIRONMENT. You must be thinking, how did I do it, well it's simple really, just go and start talking to a TREE! That what I did. Well, this conversation didn’t really go as expected but……
Me: hello may I ask a few questions?
Environment: you are talking to a tree
Me: I know
E: you are ruining my image
Me: you don’t have an image
E: please, I own lots of different scented perfumes, but your kind polluted it with their factories and cars, people take pictures of me from different angles, and different views and they are everywhere, I am famous, pictures of me are everywhere, on Facebook, Twitter, like your phone wallpaper, people even draw me and hang it on their wall.
Me: so your famous and you’re a tree?
E: you are hopeless
Me: that’s what my mom says
E: shes right, have you come for an autograph?
Me: no
E: such a waste of time
ME: Ok, what do you do?
E: I give life to humans so that they grow up and kill me.
Me: okay? Uh do you have anything to say about yourself
E: of course I do, I am the environment, you can think of me as one of those rich girls, in teenage drama shows, who is very bossy, who is also a daddy’s girl, and who cares only about her appearance.
Me: I thought you were supposed to be like a mother to us?
E: please, do you kill your mother?
Me: no
E: then how am I your mother?
Me: okay what has changed for you during the lockdown?
E: Okay, I have to admit, that tiny plague I sent was supposed to-
Me: you sent that plague!!??
E: well it was only supposed to be for the US since they are killing me faster than I can support myself, but there was a slight dislocation.
Me: it landed on another CONTINENT!
E: ah well… I wasn’t very good at geography anyway
Me: you don’t know what geography is
E: yes, but you have to agree I am recovering, I have time to tend to myself since now there is no one to litter or pollute me.
Me: you always tend to yourself
E: you can never get enough, at least I thought of the people and made them happy
Me: that’s bcoz they are all at home, eating popcorn and watching Netflix
E: exactly, arent they happy
Me: I am happy that school is out, but shouldn’t you be ashamed
E: Nope, I am just trying to survive, but tell me again, why are you talking to a tree!!!???
Me: to talk to you
E: if I were you I’d stop, these people are giving me and you funny looks
Me: you’re a tree why do you care??!!
E: I care about my appearance
Me: people don’t even know you talk.
E: even if I am, do you think they will believe?
Me: nope
This is the end of the conversation, since the tree refused to speak to me, and people passing by thought I was an idiot talking to a tree.
But this isn't the end, it's very short, so I googled it and found out that water is part of the environment too!
I decided to this at home, who knows maybe he also cares about his appearance.
I conducted this conversation by buying a pack of bottled water and started talking to it…
Me: Hello!
Ocean: why are you in your house?
Me: because its where I live
O: well why don’t you go outside?
Me: Because it will ruin your reputation if people find out I am talking to a bottled water
O: umm… you don’t know me at all
Me: yes I do
ReplyDeleteO: okay then tell me what you know
Me: you are a boy, you makeup 75% of the earth, we drink you-
O: that’s enough, first of all, I am a girl and I make up 71% of the earth and I don’t want to think about how much water you drink. And for the record, the only person's reputation is going to be ruined is yours.
Me: okay so I don’t know anything about you, but the reason I am here is because of that, I have a few questions for you
O: okay
Me: what do you do?
O: I supply water for life so you can survive and grow up to kill me.
Me: are you related to the environment?
O: yes she is my very annoying sister
Me: you two are so alike in different ways
O: we are so different, to her, all she cares about is appearance, she doesn’t care if her land is destroyed or if her animals are getting killed, she doesn’t even know she is dying!
Me: I figured that out
O: I love the adventure that is why I am home to some of the world's dangerous fishes, like sharks, and I am also the home of the world's largest mammal, the blue whale.
Me: ok, how has the lockdown affected you?
O: there was a lockdown?
Me: yes, for the past few months!
O: well I am sorry but I am not up to date with the outside world.
Me: okay I will ask you something else, how is it like to have a sister
O: haveing a sister is alright unless she is younger, then you know it's gonna be trouble
Me: I can relate
O: she doesn’t care about me and I do everything to protect her, I give her water for her plants to grow and make her beautiful
Me: I help my sister a lot and she starts crying because I do, and that results with my mother coming out of the kitchen and beating me with the chapati pan
O: luckily I don’t have a mother and she doesn’t make chappatis
Me: lucky you, next question-
O: I am sorry but why are you interrogating me?
Me: I was supposed to interrogate the environment for world environment day but-
O: so why don’t you interview me on oceans day
Me: when is oceans day?
O: I don’t know, but I am not giving anything away, and on oceans day you can interview me.
ME: but, I need to-
O: nope, I am going to ignore you
Me: no
ReplyDeleteO: yes
Me: I love watermelons!
O: oh, me too, but it won't change anything
Me: please
O: …
Me: hello?
O: …
Me: come back!!!!
This conversation ended abruptly due to the sudden ignorance of the ocean, now my own sibling's won't talk to me, and my parents are worried about me talking to trees and bottled water!
I went online (again) and found out that land and air are also part of the environment, and that they’re twins! How cool is that! Probably not, but I’ve never seen one! (sorry Miria and Bina, this is for the story)….
So I went in my garden took a handful of soil and smelled the air, and started talking…..
Me: hello
Land: hello
Air: hey!
Me: so you two are twins
L: yes we are and we would appreciate it if you didn’t notice it too often
A: We hate each other, my brother is such a pain, always wants to show off that without him no life would be possible.
L: as if, you blow down every single plant I have by creating winds, hurricanes, and tornados
A: The only reason I create those is because of my mood, and you always spoil it
L: do not
A: do too
L: do not!
A: do too!
Me: Ahem!
L: yes, you see she is here to remind you of how wonderful I am
A: she doesn’t need to, you never stop reminding me!
L: do not!
A: do too!
L: do not !!
A: do too!!
Me: AHEMMM!!!!, I am here to interview you and honestly, I thought the environment was hard to communicate too!
L: the environment is our master, my twin brother here is jealous because I am in charge of making her pretty and my brother here, is supposed to blow the wind through her hair.
A; am not!
L: are too!
Me: Okay, first question: what do you do?
L: 25% of my time is for doing my duties, and the rest is for arguing with my brother
A: obviously, he starts all of them!
L; do not
A: do too!
Me: Okay, how has lockdown changed your lifestyle?
A: Today is the cirrus cloud's birthday and you forgot to wish him!
L: I forgot okay, I am not as free as you are
A: I wished all your plants on their birthday!
L: that’s because you remembered
A: well I am reminding you now!
L: I am busy!
A: doing what exactly!
Me: HELLLLLOOOOOOOOOO! HONESTLY EVEN MY SIBLINGS ARE NOT AS ANNOYING AS YOU! JUST ANSWER THE QUESTIONS!!!!
That was the end of the conversation as my family and neighbors came running out of their houses because of me screaming to soil and air and now I have 2 appointments with a therapist and 5 appointments twice a week with a phycologist. I hope you are happy!
But eh.
At least it was worth it…
I hope…

LOCKDOWN STORY *A BLESSING IN DISGUISE*
ReplyDeleteMy day started out great, until 9’oclock, that’s when I woke up. My dad said there are 2 things that wake him up in the morning, 1) coffee 2) me being loud. My mom says sometimes she wonders if she had too much coffee and sometimes she wonders if she had too many kids.
Anyways I go downstairs and guess whos at the door. Florence ( for those who don’t know her, let's pretend I don’t too! ) she's a complete mess. I ask her what happened, and of course, she tells me her whole life story. *get to the point Florence* apparently she crying because the grass is green.
Sometimes I wonder, if she's trying to annoy me, or if she is really jobless. As the amazing sister, I am, I told her to go to sleep. Moral of the story, my life is a mess and I need coffee, also humans are weird, and I also want to be a mermaid.
Tomorrow is the second day of lockdown… okay, let's not get too ahead of ourselves, let's hope I survive till then.
The second day of lockdown…. I stocked up on my food supplies that could last me another 6 months. *15 minutes later* we are officially out of food.
My mom has work from home and she starts reading the news and finds out that an apartment got robbed. I told him not to worry because if robbers ever broke into our house and search for money I’d just laugh and search with them.
Mom didn’t find that amusing, especially since I spent all my money stocking up on the food I just ate. I needed expert advice on what to do during quarantine, the next few months, so of course, I started talking to my self.
ReplyDeleteI asked my brother to get my I pad from the table and he came back with a dead spider. Close enough.
While getting my iPad my sister came up to me and asked me the same question she asked me for the last 9 years of her life: what's for dinner? I told her something amazing, and she said she was relieved I wasn’t cooking today, I don’t know why she hates my cooking??
Sorry I am late for doing the chores. I had a family emergency, my sister lost her imaginary watch. Again I’m sorry.
My sister went to my dad and told him that he looks like he has a mustache, honestly, quarantine has made her so jobless she just goes around saying random things and asking random questions. Now its both me and my mom who wants the school to reopen. So my dad replied that he has a mustache, and my sister tells him to remove it before someone sees it. Why can't she grow up??? That’s the question I asked for 9 years of my life.
My sister says that these shoes make you fast, I told her that shoes don’t make you fast, and she said that they do if they have sparkles. Science. Its called science.
The third day of lockdown and again my day started out great until I woke up, why is that so often? My mom had some work and woke me up because my brother had a tummy ache. I told him it was because he ate a lot of candy and he replied that it was because he didn’t eat enough candy. He's my nutritionist now.
Its 11 am my dad and my sister is asleep my moms doing work and I am trying to get my brother to eat breakfast. I tell him that he didn’t touch his food so he pokes it, I tell him that’s not what I meant so he pokes it harder. Moral of the story, don’t wake up.
It 2pm my sister finally woke up and start playing tag with me, did I mention that she was very random? She tagged me and I asked her what happens now and she said: you die. Oh. Nice game. We usually have these conversations often.
My dad went to amazon and said we could order some shirts for us online, I sat in front of my laptop searching for a nice shirt, and of course, my sister came in and pushed me out of my chair and invaded my laptop. I know, amazing sister. No wonder my parents are so enthusiastic when we go to school.
My Sister said she doesn’t want any long dresses. I asked her why. And she said that she wouldn’t be able to run fast enough during a zombie apocalypse. Valid concern.
My sister asks my dad to buy all the shirts, and he says it expensive, my sister says he can just use his credit card then it's free. Guess whos not getting a credit card
On the fourth day of lockdown, today there will be zero drama, zero invasions, and absolutely
zero randomnesses. And of course, I was wrong. It started off when my brother spilled soda all over my new sneakers, so I asked him what he should say? ( and for the record it's sorry.) and he said: move your shoe. I think this randomness thing is getting contagious.
ReplyDeleteMy sister just woke up (again) and she looked tired, I asked her what was wrong and she told me that it’s a lot of work to stay alive. Puh-lease, it’s a miracle I still am!
My mom was a little off today, so she gave us the family album to engage us while she gets some work done. And here comes the drama, *cue the dramatic music* my sister started crying because she didn't like the shoes she was wearing in the picture! And like the good sister I am, I went to sleep.
My sister wants to know: if she donates her hair to Locks of Love, and the recipient of her hair commits a crime and leaves hair at the crime scene, will her DNA be found all over the crime scene and thus incriminate her?
she’s 9.
if this lockdown thing is really a blessing in disguise, then I think it disguised its self too well! I mean both you and I can see where this is going, but seriously a blessing in disguise? but if there
is one thing I know it is that my sister and brother are definitely not it!
ReplyDeleteThe fifth day of lockdown and My sister asked a very important question that needed me to wake up at three am in the morning: do fishes feel wet?. OH MY GOSH GO BACK TO SLEEP…………….. Omg, do they?
When I actually wake up,
my brother comes up to me and asks me to look at him, he isn't doing anything so I ask him: what? and says he's working, I tell him that he's not doing anything, and he says just like you. Checkmate.
My sister just randomly comes up to me (why isn't that surprising) and asks me where is her fireman helmet, I ask her if she really needs it, she says she will, so I hide all the matches.
My mom and sister were having another round of randomness today, my sister asked my mom whether she could watch what she was doing, and then my mom said she was doing nothing, and my sister replied that she does it so well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. The worst part is that we don’t know if this randomness is inherited or not.
The sixth day of lockdown, its 2 am and there is a huge scream from my sister, either she is being murdered or her blanket has fallen on the floor. Whatever it is I am not going in there, and I think my parents are thinking the same.
It's Friday, and since its lockdown, we can't go out, usually, my brother throws a tantrum when he doesn’t get to go to the park on Fridays, but today he forgot, and now he's looking around confused like his whole day is thrown off. It's so funny. he keeps banging his head on the wall.
My sister asks my mom if she could wear high heels. My mom asked her why. And she said so that she could reach the cookie jar. Valid fashion choice.
Today I decided to make things different, so I decide to be random today too, but my sister beat me to it, she said that she smells green, so I asked her how it smells like, and she said it smells like yellow and blue. Touché. I went to my dad and asked him weather I could say something very important, he said yes, and I asked him why we don’t have a koala. After a long pause, he says he doesn’t know.
My dad was trying to teach my sister something today, which happens often, but it turned out to be something like this:
Dad: there was an eclipse today.
Sister: so?
Dad: it got dark
Sister: it gets dark every day, its called night.
Damn shes smart.
The seventh day of lockdown, My sister just came out of the blue and said she loves me. If you need me I will be searching the house for whatever she broke.
Today it was mom's turn for breakfast and she asked my brother what he wanted and he said: I WISH TO DEVOUR THE UNBORN! Eggs… he wants eggs. I might start a book on my life sooner or later, but it would be a horror story and nobody would be left alive to finish the book.
Since it was a Saturday we decided to watch a movie, my brother suggested to watch a movie where a man's wife is brutally murdered by a serial killer and his son is left physically disabled. And then his son gets kidnapped and he has to chase the kidnapper thousands of miles with the help of a mentally disabled woman.
It's called Finding Nemo
he's never watching NetFlix again.
My mom says that her kids were always hungry and that they wanted meals. And snacks in
between meals. And snacks between snacks between meals. And sometimes she wonders if she was raising trolls. It took us 30 seconds to realize she was talking about us.
ReplyDeletemy sister goes to take a shower and comes back wearing an Elsa costume, with Elsa socks, and an Elsa jacket along with an Elsa wig. I ask her who her favorite character is. And she says, Olaf. Now I am starting to think I like my brother more.
It was time for dinner, but before that, we were watching the news, the news report came and warned us that there is a tornado. So we went to the basement because of the tornado. My brother thought we were hiding from a tomato. And honestly, that scared him even more.
When we were down in the basement, we saw a bunch of shoes people threw away for charity, so we went up and started wearing the shoes. You honestly didn’t think we would just sit in the basement when there are a bunch of shoes to be tried on? My sister took a pair and said that they were too small so I told her to get the next size, and then she started arguing and telling me to just make these on bigger. This could take a while.
My parents decided to ask our neighbor's weather there really was an earthquake and told us to stay here, usually, my siblings are too afraid to walk through the hall to get to the other room at night, so naturally, they would be scared right now. Boy was I wrong. After my parents left they started laughing. Yes. Laughing. I reminded them that they should be scared and they said that they were not scared because I was there that touched my heart until I told them thank you, then they said that the monsters would probably eat me first since I am fatter and bigger and then they could escape while the monster ate me. That’s touching. Real touching.
And that was how my first week of lockdown went.
So remember the next time you think you had a tough life, read this and think again.
Now for the real question, how is lockdown a blessing in disguise
Well like the regular answer would be that you would get to spend more time with your family, but if you were me you would think again.
So I guess the real blessing in disguise would be the same actually. Since I can't think of any other blessing.
But to be honest I would spend more time with my family, than at school.
So, since school is out, my family is not my biggest problem.
Thank you for reading this. I just realized the theme for the story was supposed to be: a blessing in disguise during digital learning, not lockdown. But I wrote too much to let it go to waste. But at least I wrote a story.
And thank you to whoever is reading this, because it means my writing didn’t go to waste!

Curiosity oh what a beautiful thing
ReplyDeleteWonder and adventure it does bring
sometimes I wonder if curiosity is dangerous
whats curiosity without danger? its scandalous!
sometimes curiosity can bring us to the right places
it can lead you through, nature objects, or by faces
"no curiosity, no life." I say
But when is curiosity not in our day?
when you get an opportunity, you take it
when you curious go on an adventure a bit
when curiosity gets the better of you
it simply means you have a lot of work to do
be creative, be prosperous
be curious, be adventurous!
A MOTHERS LOVE
ReplyDelete-CHRISTINA 8R
A mothers love, so beautiful, so strong
To manage 3 kids takes determination
To manage a family she doesn’t have to take long
But she does it all with the only motivation
A mothers pride for her children is such a beauty
She can't do much but does everything with only love
To think that this much is her duty!
To manage all of this I wonder how
She has to bear with loss and pain
Her children, her pride, the shine in her eyes twinkle
But she still hangs on without any complain
In her family only love does she sprinkle
To be strong to be brave to be courageous, for her family is all she cares to think
Many are critics, few are talkers, but only a mother is a doer
The mothers amazing power is to do it all in just a blink
She is rich in love, if maybe in money she is poor
The hardest job is to occupy the children and to them, she has to continuously hover
Have you ever heard her complain or cry, never!
Her joy is nothing compared to when the children are in bed and tucked in their bedsheet cover
When she grows old she will be our number 1 priority forever
It is said that the head of the house is the father
But the heart of the house can only be a mother
THANK YOU & HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
Great work everyone. Also when writing a post, please do mention your name. Keep up the enthusiasm everyone!

DeleteMatilda is a book written by the british author, Roald Dahl. In this book, a girl named Matilda discoveres her love for reading by the age of three and soon she started to go to the children library on her own. Her parents hated reading so Matilda faced avery hard childhood. Soon she started to go to school and realized that she had powers. She could move or control anything with just the movement of her eyes. I was very fascinated by this. Later on she encountered many difficult situations with Miss. Trunchbull but somehow she and other students in her school sent her away, and Matilda lived a normal life with her Teacher, Miss Honey. I would recommend this book because it is very funny, adventurous and scary all at the same time. It also taught me that students should stand up for their rights.
