Hi!
ReplyDeleteToday I will be writing a book review on David Walliams' Gangsta Granny.
David Walliams, a judge on Britain's Got Talent, is surprisingly also a famous children's author!
this book is Gangsta Granny, one of David's originals. I think his books are hilarious! They are so funny and even relatable at times.
Meet Ben's granny:
She's that stereotypical granny.
*She has white hair
*She has false teeth
*She has used tissues tucked up her sleeve
* And.... she's a international JEWEL THIEF!
This book tells how Ben, a young boy, finds the secret of his kind, warm, cabbage-loving granny, that she's actually a international jewel thief! This is really the most interesting part of this story! David is a humorous writer, and he is just like the modern Roald Dahl. In this book, he balances humour with an emotional message. The illustration of Tony Ross makes this book EVEN BETTER! I loved reading this amazing book, and i think most young children will opt to read such a classic comedy original. Harper Collins did a good job helping David make his book a international success. Everyone will be pleased to read this book. I loved reading this book, and I keep reading this book every month!

ReplyDeleteI am writing my own story titled 'Journey Under the Earth'
ReplyDelete"This is crazy !" exclaimed Avneet as she was reading a fiction book . Everyone asked ,"What ?" She said ,"I am reading about the future diamond , and whoever can get it , can change the future ! Maybe we can go find it !" Her friends drooped and said ,"All of this isn't true Avu !" But Sidd was in favour of her and said ,"What if it is ? I have heard that it is kept in a cave under the Earth ." Everyone suddenly got excited . They all beamed with anxiety ,"Let's go !" They all did some research and packed up their camping bags , not for camping but for adventure . They packed all necessary items they would need . The next morning they headed off for their adventure awaiting . The cave was said to be somewhere beneath the grounds of Sitamgarh , Madhya Pradesh . They reached Sitamgarh in about 7 hours . They went to the oldest temple and met the elderly priest who told them that it was tricky to find the future diamond and only clever one could do it . He told them some important details about the diamond . There was a big well near the temple , which had no water as it was dried out . There was a ladder kept deep inside as well , for all those who were willing to go inside to look for the diamond . They all slowly climbed in and kept going down until they reached a bed of huge rocks . Sunlight was very dim down there . There was a small gateway at the bottom of the well , through which all of them had to crawl to get inside . It was a little hard , but they managed to get in , and saw complete darkness . Only for this occasion , they had packed LED torches with them with a headband to attach . All of them wore it and started walking . After some steps , the ground became flat again , and they started hearing weird hissing noises . In front , their path was full of venomous snakes . They killed them with the chemical they had brought with them . Next , they had to clear their way of spider webs , as the place wasn't visited for 100 years , as told by the priest . They continued their journey . After about 2 hours of walking and solving puzzles , the final challenge came . With everyone's intelligence , they solved the last mystery and lead way to the future diamond ! They quickly got outside the cave through the well and were on national TV for their discovery !
