  1. First of all it's really a very interesting initiative. Kudos to Divya and Aishwaryaa!!
As a part of the challenge I have recently read "Sherlock Holmes - The study in Scarlet".

    Here's my book review-
    1) my favourite part of the book is when Holmes unravels the mystery in a most unexpected manner in the end. My favourite line was - "There's the scarlet thread of murder running through the colourless skein of life, and our duty is to unravel it, and isolate it, and expose every inch of it."

    2) The message I learnt was to also look at problems from a different angle. Come to a conclusion only after a good amount of deliberation.

    3) I would love everyone to read this book as it is thrilling, and has unexpected plot twists.

Thank you Divya and Aishwaryaa for this lively initiative

    1. Seriously, This initiative is quite helpful. As it is I love reading books of any genres. My favorite one though is that of Mystery and Suspense category , Reading Books will however have good impact on us and enhance our vocabulary etc. Moreover during this period of COVID-19, this was quite required.

  3. Hey there!
The favourite among my book collection in my mini library is the 'Alex Rider - Stormbreaker' written by the British author Anthony Horowitz .

    My book review:-

#My favorite part of the story is at the end when Alex and Yassen meet and the story is left on a cliff hanger because Yassen raised his hand at Alex and Alex did it back but Alex didn't know what he meant, friendship or a salute.

    #The message i learnt is:
That children can accomplish much more than what is expected of them. For example, Alex Rider is expected to fail in his mission, but instead he succeeds and saves the lives of many people.

#In my opinion I would recommend reading this book, if you are in to spy, action and adventure books this is for you.

  6. Hi this is Nikitha.
Good Job Aishwarya and Divyalakshmi on the initiative.

BOOK NAME- Sherlock Holmes The Adventure of the Speckled Band

THE BEST PART OF THE BOOK - When Holmes discovers that Roylott wants to kill his step daughters in order to maintain control over their inheritance. He sent a snake (the speckled band) through the air vents to poison them in their sleep. In the end, the snake turns against Roylott and he is killed.

THE MORAL VALUES LEARNED - The message told is that if someone does a bad thing to someone they will be punished for their deeds.

WHY WOULD YOU LIKE OTHERS TO READ -Sherlock Holmes The Adventure of the Speckled Band is a well-written, interesting story with great characters and some brilliantly outlandish mystery. Sherlock Holmes because it is a high quality mystery novel with fun characters and interesting case.

  7. This is Nivitha here....
Good work on the initiative taken Aishwaryaa and Divyalakshmi...
The BOOK I have read recently is The Young Adventures (series) 1 At holiday house by Enid Blyton...
The BEST PART of the book was when Nick and Katie was exploring the beach and the surrounding cliffs, they discover a secret network of caves and an abandoned house and when they solve the mystery of thefts occurring at the Holiday House.

THE LESSON I HAVE LEARNT is that when find or see something there is something more to it that you can’t see by looking .You have to understand it more to find what’s hidden.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND this book to everybody who like mysteries and adventures......This also helps build up more imagination......

  8. Hi rose here...
First, I would like to appreciate divyalakshmi & aishwaryaa for the effort they have taken.
During the holidays I have read a wonderful book: Nancy drew - 'the hidden staircase'.
THE BEST PART OF THE BOOK
was when Nancy drew and Helen finds the hidden staircase in an unmysterious looking house. After finding the staircase they find the man who kidnapped Mr. Drew for not letting them make more money using the Bridge that was to be repaired.
    THE LESSON THAT I LEARNT
To help your friends when in trouble, to show love and compassion towards one another, never be greedy and always be truthful so that people can trust you when in need.
WHY I WOULD WANT OTHERS TO READ THIS BOOK??
    This book tells us:
° how to be brave in certain situations.
    ° To Be thoughtful.
This book develops your reading capability. And would interest people who have mysterious, adventurous, curious and creative minds

  11. Wow amazing initiative...
The book I've read recently is Harry potter and the Philosopher's stone by JK Rowling. Harry thinks he is a perfectly normal boy. Unfortunately, he lives with his hot-tempered Uncle Vernon, his nosy Aunt Petunia and his bullying cousin, Dudley, who all make Harry’s life miserable. Living in a stuffy old cupboard under the stairs is just one of the reasons why Harry hates living with the Dursleys. Unusual things happen to Harry, such as an incident with a snake at the zoo which resulted in him being locked in the cupboard for a month! Then, some unusual letters start arriving for Harry; this confuses and irritates Uncle Vernon so he takes the family somewhere where he thinks no-one will find him but he was greatly mistaken. A giant-sized man with beetle black eyes goes to tell Harry some very astonishing news: Harry is a wizard! Soon, Harry has lots of adventures in his new wizarding school, Hogwarts, but not all is fun and games. Someone is planning to steal a special object being hidden in Hogwarts… but who is it?

I love this book SO much because when you are reading it, you feel like you are inside the book. I feel like I am actually in Hogwarts, watching the ghosts and duelling enemies. Although some bits are slightly frightening (such as the end), you feel like you are glued to the book and can’t wait to find out what happens next. This amazing book is exciting, fun and hard to stop reading! I think children should read this book when they are 7 or over because it has some hard words in it and some bits are slightly complicated.

Although this book has been made into a film (along with the rest of the Harry Potter series), I personally think that you should read the book before watching the films because you don’t get the thrill of turning the page and reading frantically to find out what happens next. If you like the sound of the book why don’t you read it? Plus, if you liked it, you can read the next 6 books in the series which are just as good as the first. Happy reading

  12. BOOK : DAIRY OF A WIMPY KID - THE LONG HAUL

ALL THE TRIPS ARE MEANT TO BE FUN AND INTERESTING . BUT THE TRIP THAT THE AUTHOR HAD EXPIRIENCED WAS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT .THE JOURNEY HAD STARTED WITH A BUNCH OF PROMISES, PLANS AND PACKING.BUT THE TRIP DID NOT GO AS PLANED .BUT EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS NOT CONSIDERED AS A MEETING IT WAS AN ADVENTURE.BUT THERE IS NO MUCH OF A MORAL IN THIS STORY .AND I WANT OTHERS TO READ THIS BOOK BECAUSE THIS IS KIND OF A FUNNY , RELAXING BOOKS WHICH YOU CAN RIGHT NOW AS WE ALL ARE STUCK AT HOME
